EssilorLuxottica and Meta Launch New AI Glasses Collection

EssilorLuxottica and Meta have expanded their AI glasses offerings with the unveiling of Ray-Ban Meta's optical-first styles, targeting prescription wearers. This expansion includes the Ray-Ban Meta Blayzer Optics (Gen 2) and Scriber Optics (Gen 2), designed with comfort and customization in mind. These frames come with features like interchangeable nose pads and adjustable temple tips. A new action button allows users to easily access Meta AI for capturing content and shortcuts. The collection supports a variety of lenses, including advanced single-vision and progressive lenses.

The launch extends to new color options for Oakley Meta products and Transitions lenses, enhancing visual clarity. Additional Meta AI features, such as extended Live Translation and hands-free nutrition tracking, have been incorporated. The Ray-Ban Meta collection will debut in the US in March, with further availability planned across several countries. Priced at USD 499 and EUR 469, these models aim to attract prescription wearers seeking advanced smart eyewear.
