ESGold Expands Mine Waste Reclamation with New MOU
ESGold Corp. has signed a second Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Gestion D.S. 50 Inc., a Québec-based firm. This agreement aims for the potential supply and reuse of 200,000 metric tonnes of neutralized mining residue annually from ESGold's Montauban Gold-Silver Project.
This follows a prior MOU with Culture H. Dolbec Inc. for 300,000 metric tonnes. Combined, these agreements could provide up to 500,000 tonnes of aggregate per year, marking a significant move in ESGold's strategy to convert mine waste into construction material.
At Montauban, ESGold is permitted to process 300,000 tonnes of tailings annually. This capacity may increase with new permits. The MOUs indicate interest that exceeds current capacity, suggesting potential for growth.
The company's initiative addresses environmental concerns while creating economic value. However, both MOUs are non-binding and depend on testing, regulatory approvals, and definitive agreements.
