Ernst Russ AG Expands Fleet with New Vessels
Ernst Russ AG has announced the acquisition of two multipurpose vessels, MV "Ronnie" and MV "Charlie," to enhance its fleet strategy. This move aligns with the company's goal of achieving growth in targeted shipping segments. The vessels have been chartered to dship Carriers for seven years, ensuring a stable earnings trajectory and improving future cash flow predictability.
The ships, modern F500-type multipurpose vessels built in 2021/2022, are equipped with Liebherr cranes for tandem lifts up to 500 tonnes. Their versatile design accommodates heavy lift, project cargo, and various bulk and general cargoes, making them valuable assets to Ernest Russ AG.
Co-CEO Joseph Schuchmann emphasized that the acquisition sharpens the company's portfolio amidst a strong market with limited supply but high demand. The handover of these vessels is set for early 2026. Ernst Russ AG will reveal its 2025 Annual Report on 25 March 2026.
