E.ON Maintains Growth with Strategic Energy Transition Investments

Key growth contributors in 2026 included strong operational performance and strategic investments, particularly in expanding Germany’s energy networks and enhancing energy retail operations. Energy Networks maintained stability, while Energy Infrastructure Solutions saw a 19% rise in EBITDA, driven by industrial projects in Germany. Despite facing structural challenges in Germany, Energy Retail also performed well.

E.ON’s CEO, Leonhard Birnbaum, emphasized the importance of sustained investment to scale the energy system intelligently, highlighting the need for high-performing networks and digital solutions.
