Entech partners with TotalEnergies for a hybrid storage project in Guadeloupe
Entech has signed a contract with TotalEnergies for the construction of an 8 MW/8 MWh hybrid wind energy storage system in Guadeloupe, worth €5 million. This system, composed of batteries and energy conversion systems, will be integrated into a wind farm of 10 turbines. It is scheduled to be commissioned in the first half of 2027.
This project aims to improve the stability of Guadeloupe's electricity grid by enabling better integration of renewable energy sources. Entech will handle all electrical engineering and commissioning work, in collaboration with the distribution network operator. This initiative underscores the island's commitment to the energy transition by strengthening its energy independence.
