Entech and EDF: Partnership for Sustainable Electrification of the Ponant Islands
On March 3, 2026, Entech and EDF announced a strategic partnership to deploy energy storage solutions on the islands of Ouessant, Molène, and Chausey. This project aims to guarantee a secure and carbon-free electricity supply for these island territories. Entech, a specialist in energy storage, will install batteries tailored to each island, totaling 4.4 MWh. Installations will begin in the first half of 2027. This project optimizes the use of renewable energy and improves security of supply. Through this partnership, EDF and Entech are accelerating the energy transition and strengthening the resilience of island microgrids.
