ENGIE Initiates Share Buyback Programme
ENGIE has commenced a share buyback programme, having received approval at the Combined General Meeting of Shareholders on April 24, 2025. On April 20, 2026, ENGIE signed a contract with an investment services provider to aid in acquiring up to 4,500,000 of its shares over 20 days starting May 5, 2026. This timeline may extend in line with contractual terms. The contract's execution awaits authorisation during the upcoming shareholders meeting on April 29, 2026. The purchase price per share will derive from the average volume-weighted price over the period, remaining within mandated limits.
The repurchased shares are intended for an employee share plan and may be partially or fully cancelled. This strategic move seeks to align with ENGIE's shareholder and corporate objectives.
