Energiekontor AG Secures Funding for Donstorf Wind Park

Energiekontor AG has achieved financial closure for the Donstorf repowering wind project in Bremen, Germany. This milestone allows the company to start construction preparations. The project will expand Energiekontor's portfolio to over 680 megawatts once operational, promoting renewable energy growth.

The Donstorf wind park features four Vestas turbines, each with a 7.2 megawatt capacity, contributing to an annual yield of approximately 74 gigawatt-hours. This output can power over 22,000 households while reducing CO2 emissions by about 56,000 tonnes annually.

The project is part of an expansion strategy that includes three additional wind and solar projects, totaling over 120 megawatts. This growth is underpinned by strategic investments and partnerships, such as long-term Power Purchase Agreements. Energiekontor's CEO, Peter Szabo, emphasized the company's commitment to resilience amid challenging market conditions.
