Elis Concludes Conversion Period for 2029 Bonds
On October 7, 2026, Elis announced the results of the conversion period for its €380 million 2.25% bonds due in 2029. The company had revealed plans to redeem all outstanding bonds on October 13, 2026. Bondholders were given until October 2, 2026, to exercise their conversion rights at a ratio of 6,256.8564 Elis shares per bond.
A total of 3,767 bonds were converted, representing 99.13% of those outstanding. This conversion results in the issuance of 23,569,556 shares, comprising existing and new shares, totaling 9.89% of Elis's share capital. The operation limits the issuance of new shares by using existing treasury shares from a recent buyback program.
Remaining bonds will be redeemed in cash on October 13, 2026, at €100,129.45 each, covering accrued interest. This marks a significant step in Elis's capital management strategy.
