Ekinops achieves optical transmission at 800 Gbit/s over 757 km

On December 2, 2025, Ekinops announced an error-free optical transmission at 800 Gbps over a distance of 757 km on Orange's long-distance network. This technological feat was achieved between Bordeaux and Marseille, linking two of Orange's strategic data centers with the aim of improving connectivity to transatlantic submarine cable capacity.

Ekinops leveraged its FlexRate™ technology and latest-generation coherent transponders.
