Eiffage to Develop Four Solar Power Plants in Morocco
Eiffage, via its subsidiary Eiffage Énergie Systèmes, is constructing four solar power plants for the Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy as part of the NOOR Atlas programme. This initiative seeks to harness Morocco's abundant sunshine to reduce energy dependency and enhance electricity production capabilities. Additionally, it aims to bolster the solar sector within the country.
The plants, situated in northeast Morocco, will have a combined output of 225 MWp. The sites include NOOR Ain Beni Mathar (121 MWp), NOOR Enjil (42 MWp), NOOR Boundnib (33 MWp), and NOOR Bouanane (29 MWp). Construction commenced in early 2026, with completion expected by mid-2027.
Eiffage Énergie Systèmes, known for its expertise in renewable infrastructure, undertakes design, supply, construction, and maintenance for these projects. This development underscores Eiffage's ongoing commitment to facilitating regional energy transitions.
