Eiffage Expands German Data Centre Market Presence with Hand & Werk Acquisition
On April 28, 2026, Eiffage, via its subsidiary Salvia, acquired a 74.9% stake in Hand & Werk. This German company specializes in data centre projects under the DC Blue brand. Founded in 2019, Hand & Werk is known for providing comprehensive data centre solutions, from design to maintenance. The company has completed 26 projects and employs 200 staff, achieving a turnover of €85 million in 2025.
The acquisition enables Eiffage Énergie Systèmes to strengthen its position in the growing German data centre market, particularly in the Rhine-Main region. Hand & Werk will use Salvia's locations to extend its operations to key German cities like Düsseldorf, Munich, and Berlin. This strategic move will also broaden Eiffage Énergie Systèmes' services for data centre operators. The deal awaits approval from German competition authorities and is expected to conclude in 2026.
