Eiffage Secures €80 Million Contracts for Wind Farm Infrastructure in Spain
Eiffage, through its subsidiary Eiffage Energía Sistemas, has won two significant contracts in Spain with Capital Energy. The contracts involve constructing infrastructure for two onshore wind farms in Castile and León, valued at over €80 million. This development underscores Eiffage's role in renewable energy projects.
The first contract, nearly €53 million, is for the Terrer wind farm complex. It includes building a transformer substation and a high-voltage power line to transmit energy from the Pedrecha, San Cristóbal, and Cabezuelas wind farms with a total capacity of 150 MW. Completion is slated for 2027.
The second contract, worth €27 million, involves the Canales Sur wind farm, which has a 120 MW capacity. Eiffage will handle engineering, construction, and commissioning of the electrical installations. This project also entails building a transformer substation and an underground high-voltage power line, with completion expected in 2027.
These projects will contribute 270 MW of renewable energy capacity and create 330 jobs during construction, reinforcing Eiffage Energía Sistemas' stature in Spain's renewable energy sector.
