EIB Supports Reactive Technologies with €19 Million Financing

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has granted €19 million to Reactive Technologies, a company specializing in power-grid technology, to enhance grid stability and reduce outages in Europe. This initiative aims to lower operating costs and bolster clean energy supply.

Reactive's GridVerix platform offers real-time assessments of grid stability, aiding operators in managing the connection of more renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar power, while mitigating risks of power outages. It also supports the integration of large users, including data centres.

EIB's financing, backed by InvestEU, will partially fund Reactive's investment programme, concentrating €7 million on R&D in Finland and €12 million on technology deployment within the EU. EIB Vice-President Karl Nehammer emphasized the importance of this support in expanding market reach and securing power integration.
