Eagle Plains and Refined Energy Progress on Dufferin West Drill Program
Cranbrook-based Eagle Plains Resources Ltd. reported successful completion of a maiden drill hole by its partner Refined Energy Corp on the Dufferin West Property in Saskatchewan. The project, wholly owned by Eagle Plains, aims to evaluate potential uranium mineralization near key structures like the Virgin River Shear Zone.
The initial hole, DW26-001, reached a depth of 332 meters, aligning with geological predictions. A second hole, DW26-002, is underway to investigate a significant EM conductor. This follows a ground gravity survey involving 817 stations over 530 hectares, enhancing drill target precision.
The first hole intersected basement rock at 432 meters, and core samples are set for lab analysis. The drilling program plans at least three holes, spanning 1,200 meters, with a budget of approximately $1.7 million.
Geophysical anomalies and historical data suggest potential for uranium mineralization. Results drawn from historic reports have not yet been verified by a Qualified Person.
