Duck Creek Launches AI-Powered Agentic FNOL to Enhance Claims Intake
Duck Creek has introduced Agentic First Notice of Loss (FNOL), an AI-driven solution designed to improve claims intake through intelligent and real-time automation. Announced on September 28, 2026, this new technology leverages AI agents to efficiently capture, validate, and route claims across multiple channels, enhancing data quality and accelerating the claims process for insurers.
Developed on the Duck Creek Agentic AI Platform, Agentic FNOL focuses on delivering a seamless experience for insurance policyholders from the initial report of a loss. The solution automates critical steps such as verifying coverage and identifying potential claim anomalies, thus reducing manual efforts and accelerating the resolution process. The incorporation of natural language processing allows claimants to describe their loss in their own words, streamlining the intake process.
Collaborated with Google Cloud and powered by Gemini models, Agentic FNOL provides key capabilities such as policy verification and early fraud detection while supporting third-party core system compatibility. This enables insurers to maintain oversight while enhancing operational efficiency. Agentic FNOL is part of Duck Creek's broader strategy to implement agentic applications across the insurance lifecycle, including underwriting and product configuration.
