DRONE VOLT Showcases HELIPLANE Drone in Madagascar
On October 21, 2026, DRONE VOLT, a French leader in drone technology, presented the HELIPLANE 340 LRS PRO DEF/SEC drone in Madagascar. This event coincided with the visit of Catherine Vautrin, Minister of the Armed Forces, focusing on Franco-Malagasy defense cooperation. The Malagasy Armed Forces are set to receive 100 drones by the year's end, with training support from FAZSOI.
The HELIPLANE is a 100% electric VTOL drone, featuring a wingspan of 3.40 meters and capable of flying up to two hours covering 300 km. It can be deployed by a single operator in diverse environments. The drone supports a 3 kg payload, making it ideal for surveillance and reconnaissance with an EO/IR camera.
These developments bolster DRONE VOLT's expansion in defense sectors, demonstrating its capability to meet rigorous security demands globally. CEO Marc Courcelle highlighted the drone's debut in Madagascar as a significant step toward fulfilling international defense requirements.
