Deutsche Post AG Announces Continuation of Share Buyback Program

Deutsche Post AG has issued an update on its ongoing share buyback program. Initially launched in February 2022, the program aimed to repurchase up to 50 million shares at a cost of up to €2 billion. It has since been expanded to include up to 210 million shares with a total price cap of €6.5 billion, running through the end of 2027.

The repurchased shares may be retired, serve long-term executive remuneration, offer employee shares, or fulfill potential future bond obligations. As of April 2022, around 126.39 million shares have been repurchased for €5 billion. A further tranche beginning August 10, 2026, aims to buy back up to 20 million shares for €600 million, constrained by specific price limits.

The program adheres to regulatory guidelines ensuring purchases align with market prices and trading volumes. The company is set to conclude the current tranche by December 30, 2026.
