Derichebourg and Renault are strengthening car recycling in France
Derichebourg Environnement has signed a strategic partnership with Renault Group to meet the requirements of the French Anti-Waste Law for a Circular Economy (AGEC) regarding the recycling of end-of-life vehicles (ELVs). This law, in effect since 2024, mandates significant changes in the organization of the sector, particularly concerning traceability and the reuse of parts.
Thanks to its network of 57 facilities in France, Derichebourg provides significant support to Renault Group's individual recycling system. This partnership strengthens the robustness of Renault's recycling system, which already relies on a strong partnership with INDRA Automobile Recycling.
Through this collaboration, Derichebourg consolidates its position as the French leader in Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes, actively contributing to the development of the circular economy. Thomas Derichebourg, Chairman, affirms that this agreement illustrates the company's ability to support major manufacturers in implementing legal requirements while ensuring efficient and traceable recycling within the country.
