Abu Dhabi Creates Pathway for Young Musicians with New Youth Orchestra Institution

The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi has launched a dedicated institution for the Youth Orchestra Abu Dhabi, aimed at fostering young musical talent. This new initiative, set to open in January 2027, will include a 600-seat concert hall and 18 practice rooms located in the Mina Zayed district. It intends to provide 100 children aged 6–9 with free access to world-class music education, covering both Western classical and Arabic traditions.

This program aims to nurture young musicians, offering them opportunities to develop their skills and contribute to Abu Dhabi's cultural landscape. His Excellency Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak emphasized the importance of making culture accessible and the broader societal benefits of music. The building, designed by Frank Gehry, promises to be a significant addition to Abu Dhabi's cultural offerings.
