ST GROUP Innovates in the Cycling Market with Frames Made from Natural Fibers

ST GROUP, a French specialist in composite materials, is joining the LINNOV project to develop bicycle frames made from natural fibers. Supported by the France 2030 program, the project aims to reduce the carbon footprint of bicycles by using flax fibers and bio-based resins. This promising project could offer an alternative to imported metal frames, thereby strengthening French competitiveness.

Initial research and development results show encouraging mechanical performance. In collaboration with its partners, ST GROUP plans to manufacture prototype electric bicycles by 2027. President Stéphane Trento states that this initiative demonstrates the group's ability to extend its expertise to new markets.

LINNOV represents a total investment of €1.12 million, partially funded by grants. This project could potentially boost ST GROUP's future revenues, which anticipates strong sales growth by 2030.
