Increased interest in the issuance of AFL Sustainable Bonds
Agence France Locale (AFL) has successfully launched a €500 million Sustainable Bond, maturing in March 2035. This issue aims to support the environmental and social objectives of local authorities. The operation attracted an order book of over €3.5 billion, demonstrating strong investor interest.
Rated A+ by S&P and Fitch, this senior fixed-rate bond was issued with a spread of 16 basis points over the French OAT. Long-term investors, such as asset managers and central banks, made up the majority of the allocations.
Nearly 77% of the allocations were made to ESG investors, highlighting AFL's positioning as a sustainable issuer. This transaction is part of a long-term financing strategy focused on green and sustainable bonds.
