Crédit Agricole Assurances: Steady Growth Amidst Challenges

Crédit Agricole Assurances reported strong results for the first nine months of 2026, with a total premium income of €44.4 billion, marking a 12.8% increase from the previous year. This growth was driven by robust performance across all business lines, including savings, retirement, property, and casualty insurance.

The savings and retirement sector notably contributed, with premium income reaching €33.9 billion by the end of September. The company saw significant net inflows of €15 billion, up by €3 billion year-on-year, despite climate-related claims affecting the year's performance.

In property and casualty insurance, the company achieved a premium income of €5.9 billion, reflecting a 10.1% rise. Furthermore, the personal protection sector saw a growth of 10.7% in premium income.

Despite challenges from severe weather events, Crédit Agricole Assurances' pre-tax contribution to Crédit Agricole S.A. increased by 2.1% to €1.947 billion by the end of September.
