Airbus Navigates Through Order Backlog and Production Challenges

In 2026, Airbus SE faces a significant challenge: delivering on its burgeoning order backlog. By September, only 547 of the planned 870 aircraft for the year were delivered. With around 8,754 commercial aircraft orders, Airbus has about eleven years’ workload despite the pace dictated by its supply chain.

In 2025, while Airbus's overall earnings grew by 15%, its aircraft division saw an 11% decline. Warren Wise, through "Warrens Watchlist," highlights the need to look beyond headline growth, indicating robust performance in non-core divisions. According to the Warren Wise Report, Airbus scores 4 out of 5, reflecting strong cash position and high switching barriers for airlines, though challenges remain.

Warren Wise offers insights into these dynamics, noting Airbus's strategic moves like acquiring Spirit AeroSystems facilities to mitigate bottlenecks. The podcast aims to demystify complex financial figures for investors and professionals alike.
