CNTE Backs 7MW/16MWh Lisberg II BESS Project in Germany
Contemporary Nebula Technology Energy (CNTE) is supplying the energy storage solution for the Lisberg II BESS project in Bavaria, Germany. This 7MW/16MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) integrates with a 5MWac photovoltaic power plant. The goal is to enhance renewable energy use and provide flexibility in managing power supply.
The BESS stores electricity generated by the photovoltaic plant and dispatches energy based on operational needs. By aligning solar generation with battery storage, it aims to reduce impact from renewable energy fluctuations, allowing for more consistent use of clean electricity.
Currently in construction, the project expects grid connection by January 2027. This initiative underscores Germany's push towards expanding renewable energy while meeting the need for flexible energy infrastructure.
