Concept Medical Presents Promising 3-Year SIRONA Trial Results at CX Symposium 2026

Concept Medical Inc. revealed preliminary 3-year data from the SIRONA trial at the Charing Cross Symposium 2026 in London. The trial investigates sirolimus-coated versus paclitaxel-coated balloon angioplasty for femoropopliteal artery disease. Presented by Prof. Ulf Teichgräber, the findings showed the sirolimus-coated balloon, MagicTouch PTA, had higher freedom from clinically driven target lesion revascularization (88.2% vs 80.2%). These results are pending Clinical Events Committee adjudication.

Both treatment groups exhibited comparable freedom from all-cause mortality, underscoring a balanced safety profile. No significant differences in major amputation rates were observed. Prof. Teichgräber emphasized that these results highlight sirolimus-based drug delivery's durability. Founder Dr. Manish Doshi underlined the commitment to gathering robust long-term data for global expansion.
