CLIQ Digital Withdraws 2025 Financial Outlook Amid Regulatory Challenges

CLIQ Digital AG has announced the withdrawal of its financial outlook for 2025. The decision follows significant changes in the digital payments ecosystem, driven by new regulatory standards introduced worldwide by card schemes and acquiring banks. These changes have hindered the company’s ability to process payments from existing customers and to acquire new ones.

The company, based in Düsseldorf, has been informed by payment service providers that these new standards have led to the rejection of payments authorized by existing clients. Currently, CLIQ Digital is unable to quantify the financial impact, but anticipates a material adverse effect on revenue for the remainder of the fiscal year.

The disruptions are expected to affect expected EBITDA, capitalized contract costs, and the Lifetime Value of Customer Base. Consequently, the Management Board has decided to retract its previously stated financial forecasts for 2025.
