Cembra Money Bank Reports Growth in 2026 and Strategic Acquisition

Zurich, 23 July 2026 - Cembra Money Bank has announced a 6% rise in net income for the first half of 2026, reaching CHF 92.3 million. This growth was primarily driven by a reduction in operating expenses by 9%, resulting in an improved cost/income ratio of 43.5%. Despite a challenging macro environment, net revenues held steady, and net financing receivables rose 2%.

Furthermore, Cembra strengthened its auto financing sector by acquiring a substantial part of Santander’s Swiss auto financing business. This strategic acquisition, expected to be EPS accretive by 2027, aims to broaden Cembra's automotive network and position it as Santander's exclusive Swiss partner for pan-European programs.

The company maintains a strong capital base with a Tier 1 ratio of 17.7% and forecasts a robust performance for the full year 2026, aligned with previous guidance.
