Carrefour has finalized a sale and leaseback transaction involving 35 stores across France and Spain, sold to a joint venture between Atrato and GIC. This strategic move aligns with Carrefour's 2030 plan to enhance value and manage real estate assets effectively.

The portfolio includes 32 sites in France—comprising 26 Carrefour Market supermarkets and 6 hypermarkets—plus 3 hypermarkets in Spain. This venture secures approximately €290 million for Carrefour, without disrupting current store operations.

Under the new lease agreements, Carrefour maintains operational control for an initial 12-year term, including a firm 10-year non-cancellable period, ensuring continuity and flexibility.

The transaction is expected to generate a substantial capital gain for Carrefour, yet it will not significantly alter the Group's Recurring Operating Income.
