Concordis: A New European Buying Alliance Formed

RTG International has partnered with Carrefour and Coopérative U to launch Concordis, a new European buying alliance. Announced on August 13, 2025, the alliance aims to enhance purchasing price negotiations. RTG International will represent several German retailers, adding nearly €31 billion in revenue.

Collectively, Concordis' founding members boast a combined turnover exceeding €125 billion, covering various store formats across key European markets. The alliance focuses on optimizing purchasing conditions with major multinational suppliers to reduce costs and improve product quality.

Concordis aims for loyal and mutually beneficial supplier relationships, intending to expand by welcoming new partners. The alliance remains operational for the 2026 negotiations following notification to competition authorities in France and Germany.
