Carrefour Divests 9 Stores in France for €70 Million
Carrefour has announced the signing of agreements to sell nine stores in France, valued at approximately €70 million. This move aligns with commitments to the French Competition Authority (ADLC) following Carrefour's acquisition of the Cora and Match banners and 27 Casino stores. The sale includes five Carrefour hypermarkets, two Carrefour Market stores, one Carrefour City store, and one Match store.
Coopérative U will acquire seven of these stores, including Carrefour hypermarkets in Publier, Villers-Semeuse, and Hérouville. Intermarché will take over the stores in Argenteuil and Pavillons-sous-Bois. Completion is expected by mid-2026, pending ADLC approval.
Carrefour confirms synergies projected at €130 million by 2027 from its recent acquisitions in France.
