CARMAT receivership proceedings and outlook
CARMAT, the artificial heart specialist, provides an update on its receivership proceedings, which began on July 1, 2025. A takeover bid by HOUGOU, led by Pierre Bastid, has been received. The Versailles Court has granted the buyer an extension to finalize the offer, setting a new hearing for September 30, 2025. In the meantime, Pierre Bastid has injected €1.3 million to support CARMAT's activities.
It is uncertain whether the offer will be successful, which could lead to the liquidation of CARMAT and the total loss of investment for shareholders. CARMAT is also requesting the resumption of trading of its shares as of August 21, 2025.
