Carbios reaches a milestone with 100 batches of biorecycling and extends its licenses to textiles

Carbios has successfully produced its 100th batch of biorecycling at its industrial demonstrator in Clermont-Ferrand. This achievement marks a key milestone in the development of its enzymatic process, now applicable to textile waste. The results show a conversion rate of over 95% within 24 hours, particularly for complex post-consumer textile streams.

The company is therefore expanding its licensing offering to the global textile market, in addition to packaging. This opens up new opportunities in this market, which represents approximately 67 million tons of PET polyester fibers per year. Carbios thus aims to become a major player in the transition to a circular economy, by responding to the growing demand for circular recycling.
