Capgemini acquires Piterion, an expert in PLM and industrial digitalization
Capgemini has announced an agreement to acquire Piterion, a company specializing in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and manufacturing operations management. This acquisition aims to strengthen Capgemini's global PLM capabilities, offering tailored solutions to optimize product lifecycles. Piterion, known for interconnecting complex industrial systems, will contribute its expertise to improve productivity through AI-driven solutions and cloud migration. The agreement, subject to regulatory approval, is expected to close in the coming months.
Based in Stuttgart, Piterion employs over 200 experts and operates in several countries, including Italy, Tunisia, and India. By acquiring Piterion, Capgemini strengthens its presence in Germany and in strategic industrial sectors. This acquisition will also expand relationships with key players in the automotive, aerospace, and life sciences industries, while enriching the group's portfolio of solutions.
