Cantourage Expands in Poland with "Gelato 33" Launch
Berlin-based Cantourage Group SE is enhancing its presence in the European medical cannabis market by introducing the "Gelato 33" strain in Poland. Originating from Canadian cultivator LOT420, this move comes after a successful launch of the MAC 1 strain in 2024. Working with Polish wholesaler PharmaVitae, Cantourage aims to double its cannabis flower sales in Poland from 500 kilograms in 2025 to over one tonne in 2026.
Despite regulatory challenges impacting online prescriptions in Poland at the end of 2024, market forecasts suggest significant demand recovery. Four additional cannabis products are in the approval process for the Polish market. Cantourage's CEO, Philip Schetter, highlights Poland as a vital European market, buoyed by strong demand for quality products.
This expansion aligns with Cantourage's strategy to diversify across Europe amid potential regulatory changes in Germany. The collaboration underscores a commitment to quality and safety in meeting growing Polish demand.
