Camino Minerals Commences Drilling in Peru

Camino Minerals Corporation has announced the start of its drilling campaign at the Costa de Cobre copper discovery in Peru. Formerly called the Los Chapitos project, Costa de Cobre is strategically located near infrastructure such as the proposed San Juan de Marcona Port, approximately 125 km away. This project marks a joint venture with Nittetsu Mining Co., where Camino holds a 65% interest. The initial drilling phase revealed promising results, with significant copper and silver intersections, highlighting the site's potential.

The ongoing campaign aims to explore copper mineralization along the Diva and La Estancia fault systems. Camino's chief geologist, Orlando Pariona, noted that around 1,100 meters of drilling will focus on copper oxide and sulphide deposits. The new strategic location near the proposed port could enhance logistics, increasing the project's economic viability.
