SKAN Group Sees Strong Order Intake Amid Revenue Decline in H1 2025
In the first half of 2025, SKAN Group reported a 20.2% increase in order intake, reaching CHF 213.0 million, with a record order backlog of CHF 386.4 million. Despite this, net sales dropped 17.8% to CHF 134.6 million due to delays in vaccine projects. This reflects the cyclical nature of SKAN's business. EBITDA was CHF 0.9 million, significantly lower than the previous year's CHF 21.5 million, resulting in a net loss of CHF 8.3 million.
The acquisition of Metronik and ABC Transfer SAS extended SKAN's service offerings in the pharmaceutical sector. The integration of these companies aims to provide comprehensive solutions, from isolator technology to digital manufacturing processes. SKAN's strategic initiatives focus on standardization and integrated process systems.
Despite the revenue drop, the company confirms its 2025 guidance, supported by a robust order pipeline and pre-production of standard isolators. SKAN anticipates mid-teens sales growth and an EBITDA margin of 14-16% for the full year.
