Bureau Veritas, a major player in Testing, Inspection, and Certification services, has announced its acquisition of GeoAssay. This move strengthens its lead in the Chilean copper market, a critical area for the global leader in Metals & Minerals. Chile holds the title as the largest copper producer worldwide.

The acquisition enhances Bureau Veritas' capabilities by incorporating GeoAssay’s advanced laboratories, strategically situated in Chile. GeoAssay specializes in copper, vital for energy transition, and employs 264 technical staff proficient in robotics and mining industry know-how.

This deal aligns with Bureau Veritas' LEAP | 28 strategy, ensuring faster service delivery in Latin America. CEO Hinda Gharbi emphasized the importance of this acquisition for meeting increased client demands. Feliciano Herrera, GeoAssay's CEO, expressed confidence in leveraging Bureau Veritas' scale to elevate service levels further.
