BRP Announces Winners of 6th International Design Challenge
BRP Inc. has revealed the winners of its 6th International Design Challenge held in Rovaniemi, Finland. The competition involved 70 students from eight universities across Finland, Canada, the USA, France, and the UK. Participants were tasked with creating innovative emergency response vehicle designs, incorporating United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
Valentin Leboucher from Rubika, France, won the first prize for a two-in-one vehicle designed to combat wildfires. This design converts into a protective base for remote operation of a rover. Valentin receives a six-month internship at BRP's Design & Innovation Center in Canada.
Second place went to Kirtish Gaood from the College for Creative Studies, USA, for a vehicle addressing mudslides in Northern India. Antoine Rupp from Rubika, France, secured third place with a flood rescue vehicle concept.
BRP emphasizes the importance of design in regional development and cultural identity, showcasing this during the Arctic Design Week Goes Campus in Rovaniemi.
