Sonja Wärntges Steps Down as CEO of Branicks Group AG
Sonja Wärntges, CEO of Branicks Group AG, will resign at the end of October 2026. She has been part of the Executive Board since 2013 and led as Chairwoman since 2017. Wärntges highlighted recent challenges and achievements, stating the restructuring plan reached a milestone, making it an opportune moment for leadership transition.
Josef Schultheis and Johannes von Mutius will manage the Executive Board moving forward. Schultheis will expand his responsibilities beyond Chief Restructuring Officer to encompass Wärntges's duties, while von Mutius continues as Chief Investment Officer.
The Supervisory Board expressed gratitude to Wärntges for her dedication and wished her success in future endeavors.
