Bouygues Telecom, partnering with the Free–iliad Group and Orange, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Altice France for the acquisition of SFR, highlighting it as a major European telecommunications transaction. The acquisition aims to generate long-term value across stakeholders and bolster France's digital infrastructure and ecosystem.

The deal, worth €20.35 billion, includes potential financial adjustments based on SFR's performance. Break-up fees range from €0.1 to €2 billion, depending on the initiator and circumstances of any termination. This venture seeks to enhance competition and investment capabilities in the sector.
