Borussia Dortmund Reports Financial Decline for 2025/2026

Borussia Dortmund GmbH & Co. KGaA has disclosed preliminary figures for the 2025/2026 fiscal year, revealing a consolidated revenue of EUR 460.5 million. This marks a significant decrease from the previous year's EUR 526.0 million. The decline is primarily attributed to reduced income from TV marketing, as the team did not reach the UEFA Champions League's round of 16 this year, unlike the previous season where they reached the quarter-finals.

While advertising income saw an increase, total operating proceeds fell by EUR 52.4 million to EUR 537.2 million compared to EUR 589.6 million last year. The company's net loss for the year stands at EUR 21.7 million, contrasting sharply with a net profit of EUR 6.5 million from the prior year. Borussia Dortmund anticipates a net profit ranging from EUR 0 million to EUR 10 million for the 2026/2027 financial year, subject to revision based on future performance and events.
