Borussia Dortmund Breaks Ground on BVB Health Centre
Borussia Dortmund GmbH & Co. KGaA has initiated construction on the BVB Health Centre in Dortmund-Brackel. Marking the transition from planning to development, the centre's ground-breaking ceremony followed the land transfer in December 2025.
The planned facility includes a two-storey building and a penthouse on a 7,400-square-metre site next to the Hohenbuschei training ground, offering 4,270 square metres of floor space. The building's completion is anticipated in early 2028.
The centre, in partnership with Essen University Hospital, aims to merge sports medicine, medical care, and artificial intelligence. The focus lies in providing high-standard diagnostics, prevention, and rehabilitation services, combining elite sports standards with cutting-edge medical research for athletes and the wider public.
