Borussia Dortmund Announces Key Management Changes

Borussia Dortmund GmbH & Co. KGaA has announced significant management changes, correcting an earlier release from September 28, 2026. Carsten Cramer, previously Speaker of the Management Board, has been appointed Chairman, with his contract extended until June 30, 2031. Lars Ricken, Managing Director Sports, will see his contract extended until June 30, 2030.

Thomas Treß has opted to extend his contract by one year, until June 30, 2028. Post-contract, he plans to focus on supervisory roles and consulting but will continue advising Borussia Dortmund when necessary. The contract of Managing Director Svenja Schlenker remains unchanged, running until December 31, 2028. These decisions aim to ensure long-term leadership stability for the company.
