BLUETTI Expands Clean Energy Efforts to Nigeria
BLUETTI, a global clean energy company, has partnered with UN-Habitat to launch their second joint initiative under the 'Lighting An African Family' (LAAF) program in Nigeria. Following success in Kenya, this initiative aims to provide clean energy solutions to underserved communities in Benue State.
From September 7-10, workshops at Rev. Fr. Orshio Adasu University Makurdi introduced basic solar energy applications. BLUETTI donated 50 PB200 Solar Lighting and Storage Kits for educational purposes and started a Campus Ambassador Programme to raise awareness.
The project also reached Yelwata in the Guma area, donating 180 kits to households led by women and the elderly, positively impacting over 1,000 residents by improving living conditions and access to electricity.
BLUETTI and UN-Habitat's collaboration is expected to cut carbon emissions by 337.5 tons over five years, furthering sustainable development in Africa.
