BlackBerry Limited has announced a strategic expansion of its BlackBerry Radar service. This initiative aims to aid transportation operators in utilizing equipment data for improved asset management. The Radar platform connects field equipment activity with operational decision-making data, solidifying its role as a Transportation Asset Intelligence Platform.
DCLI, a premier U.S. chassis provider, has leveraged Radar's capabilities. They combine location data with inspection timelines, reducing the planning window for FMCSA inspections from 90 to 60 days. This advancement has enhanced inspection efficiency and maintenance productivity by cutting inspection lead times by 33%.
The use of Radar facilitates more informed operational decisions, transcending basic location tracking. DCLI plans to incorporate Radar across 100,000 units to boost visibility and efficiency further. BlackBerry Radar's expanded focus will be featured at the IANA Intermodal Expo.
