QNX and neueHCT Team Up for Global Smart Driving Rollout

On September 28, 2026, QNX, part of BlackBerry Limited, and neueHCT, a joint venture by Horizon Robotics and AUMOVIO, announced a significant partnership with a leading German automaker. The automaker has chosen neueHCT's QNX-powered HCT Luna High-Performance Smart Camera Solution for its global vehicle platform debut in China. This project extends to Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and South Korea, laying the groundwork for worldwide expansion.

This program marks the first major global initiative for the HCT Luna High-Performance Smart Camera Solution, leveraging QNX OS for Safety 8.0. It highlights the solution's capacity to be adapted across various vehicle platforms while maintaining consistent functionality. Production is anticipated to start in 2027, with millions of units expected in the first three years.

The collaboration emphasizes intelligent driving solutions integrating safety features like Automatic Emergency Braking and Lane Departure Warning. These technologies aim to enhance safety across diverse markets while meeting stringent global standards.
