BlackBerry Initiates Women in Cyber Leadership Program in Malaysia
BlackBerry Limited, in collaboration with Global Affairs Canada and Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst, has launched a five-day Women in Cyber Leadership Program. It focuses on advancing women in cybersecurity roles across Malaysia and the ASEAN states. The program will be conducted from January 26-30, 2026, at the MCMC and BlackBerry Cybersecurity Center in Cyberjaya, Malaysia.
This initiative addresses the leadership gap in the Indo-Pacific cybersecurity workforce, where women are underrepresented. The course includes strategic training in cyber risk management and governance frameworks, combined with practical exercises. It encourages a diverse leadership aimed at strengthening the regional digital economy.
Funded by Canada, the program offers free participation, with travel bursaries for select ASEAN nominees. It aligns with Malaysia’s goals for inclusivity in cybersecurity and contributes to the regional resilience against digital threats.
