Battery X Metals Reaches Significant Milestone in Graphite Recovery
Battery X Metals Inc. announced a major breakthrough in graphite recovery and metal oxide purity with its proprietary two-stage flotation process. The company's subsidiary, Battery X Recycling Technologies, achieved 98.6% graphite recovery and 96.3% metal oxide purity in controlled trials. The collaboration with a Global Top 20 University focused on optimizing eco-friendly froth flotation technology.
The trials demonstrated enhanced separation efficiency using a new solvent. Both concentrate and tailings from previous tests were reprocessed, showing marked improvements over earlier results. These include increases in graphite recovery, graphite grade, metal oxide recovery, and metal oxide purity.
Future research will address challenges such as the rubber-like binder affecting separation efficiency, with goals to refine process strategies and improve materials recovery. Battery X Metals continues to advance sustainable lithium-ion battery recycling technologies aiming for commercialization.
