Battery X Metals Demonstrates Full Capacity Recovery in Nissan Leaf Trial
Battery X Metals Inc. has announced successful results from a preliminary trial using its Prototype 2.0 rebalancing technology on a 96-cell Nissan Leaf battery pack. The procedure restored 100% of the imbalance-related capacity, showcasing an effective cell-level voltage alignment. This resulted in a 3.9% capacity increase, adding 1.95 ampere-hours (Ah) to the previously measured 50.34 Ah.
The process involved rebalancing all cells to 4.20 volts, the recognized full charge for lithium-ion batteries. The trial underscores the potential scalability of the Prototype 2.0 technology across diverse electric vehicle platforms. Future tests will include full charge/discharge cycles to confirm long-term benefits and detect potential defects.
This trial marks a significant step in advancing Battery X Rebalancing Technologies' solutions under real-world conditions, potentially extending battery life and enhancing performance within the EV ecosystem.
